Architectural View of Sync Distribution
Sync 103 takes a highest-level view of the synchronization distribution challenge by considering it from the architectural point of view. The traditional master-slave architectural strategy is described and its application to recently introduced networks is then addressed. Problems that may arise in complex networks e.g., SONET/SDH rings, are highlighted.
