Your Student Page
User Information
Your Student page is your unique homepage for Sync University. To verify that you are logged into your student account, your student page displays your user ID. Other user information displayed on your homepage include your email address, so you know what address we are using to send you university information, and the current course you are taking. If you are not currently taking a course, this field displays "none".
Editing Your Student Profile
You may edit your student record by clicking on the "Edit User Profile" link under User Tools. On this page, you may make changes to your password and personal information (such as your email address). You may not delete information from your record, only modify it. You may not change your User ID as we need to be able to track you.
Course List
On the bottom of the page, you have a list of available courses at Sync U.
- Courses that you have not taken are shaded in dark blue. Courses that you have completed are shaded in green. Your current course is shaded in red.
- Clicking on a course name in the list will take you to the course description page. From this page you may begin the course if you are not currently taking a course and if you have not already completed the course. A message will appear at the bottom of the description if you are not currently permitted to take the course with a reason why.
- If you have completed a course, in the first grey shaded cell next to the course name, you will see a link allowing you to download the course content in PDF format for future reference.
- If you have completed a course and passed it, in the second grey shaded cell next to the name, you will see a link allowing you to print out a personalized course completion certificate.
Beginning a New Course
If you are not currently taking a course, click on the course name to begin.
Resuming a Course
If you log in and are currently taking a course, a "Resume Course" button will appear above the course list. This button will take you back to the last page you were on before you logged out. If you ever choose to browse the glossary, library, Professor Sync, or other untracked sections of the site, always return to your student homepage when you are ready to resume the course.
