Who do I contact If I have a question?




Why must I register to take courses?

To take the online courses within Sync University, you must register as a student. Sync University is an educational site to provide you with free, online information relating to network synchronization. It is supported by companies in the industry to assist in the education of professionals. We are committed to making Sync U successful by providing updated content provided by industry professionals and experts. We are asking you to register so that we can:
  • Keep track of your progress through each class and through the university so that your visit will be as smooth and as customized as possible. Important information such as completed courses and your exam scores can only be tracked if you register. Because of this, you will not be able to access the course material until you do so.
  • Accurately monitor the target audience who is visiting the site to adjust the level of the course material. We are only interested in basic usage statistics (region, industry, area of interest).
  • Notify you of industry events via email. If you should wish to be removed from our email list, simply email syncmaster@syncuniversity.org and your request will be honored.
  • Collect demographic information so that we may mold our courses to the educational and system requirements of our students. We respectfully encourage your suggestions on how to improve our course content or structure.
We understand your concerns about the use of your personal information in regards to privacy. Our privacy policy below should help you to understand where we stand in regards to your personal information.



What is your privacy policy?

We guarantee that all personal information, including name, telephone number, fax number, address and company name, will be used only for internal marketing purposes by Sync University and Symmetricom Inc. We will not sell or distribute any of this information outside of Sync U and Symmetricom.

Your Email address will be used by Sync University to provide you with industry related information only from Sync University, Symmetricom, and industry partners. If at any time you wish to be removed from the Sync U mailing list, reply to any email message from syncmaster@syncuniversity.org and we will remove your address immediately.

All evaluation information is anonymous and will be only be used by Sync University to make changes to our courses based on your feedback.

To ensure that no one else can access your personal information, if you are using a computer that other people besides yourself may have access to, please LOG OUT of Sync University upon leaving your computer. When you log back in, Sync U will direct you to the last page you visited before logging out so that you can continue your studies without interruption.



Do I have to complete everything in the registration form?

Sync University was developed as an educational site for the telecommunications industry. It is open to everyone and it is FREE. Please try to do your best in answering all the questions. Required fields are specified by BOLD type. Sync University will not accept a registration form if any of the required fields are empty.



I get error messages when I submit my registration.

  • Please verify that you have completed the required information before submitting registration.
  • If you are receiving an error message regarding your User ID, that User ID may already be taken. Please choose another.
  • If you are receiving an error message regarding your password, you may have mistyped your password on the password verification line. Please type your password indentically on both password lines.
  • If you are still having problems, please email webmaster@syncuniverstiy.org.



What is my User ID?

Your User ID is your unique ID that you create during registration. Your User ID is case sensitive so you must verify the case during log in process. This ID will be used to track your progress throughout Sync U.



Why are there some areas of Sync U that I can access without registering?

In order to give you a feel for the type of material you will have access to when registering as a Sync U student, the Sync U glossary, lecture forum, and Professor Sync's Q&A Forum are open to non-registered students. We hope that after you have reviewed some of this exciting material, you will register as a student and begin taking Sync classes.
